Region: 100% Five Ashes Vineyard, Margaret River.
Colour: The wine is straw yellow tinged with green.
Bouquet: Aromas of citrus, freshly ground cumin seed, freshly rubbed basil and sage with hints of capsicum overlay a juicy core of guava and kiwi fruit.
Palate: A small percentage of barrel fermentation in French and American barriques has added a malty mealy complexity to the nose.The palate is juicy, fresh and restrained, affording excellent mid palate depth, bound tightly by a tantalising natural acid zing and minerality, with a long, flavoursome finish. Vintage Characteristics: Warm dry vintage.
Vinification: 85% stainless steel and 15% barrel fermented.
Cellaring Potential: Drink now until end of 2006.
Oak Treatment: 15% barrel fermented, 5% new French oak and 3% new American oak barriques.
Serving Suggestion: Enjoy with fresh lemon seafood dishes or on its own in the warmth of the afternoon sun.
