Region: 100% Five Ashes Vineyard, Margaret River.
Colour: Pale lemon straw with brilliant clarity.
Bouquet: Aromas of hay and fresh herbs meld with floral lemon zest and white chocolate. The nose has considerable complexity with floral lemon and citrus fruit, passionfruit and dusty fresh cut grass. The barrel fermented component adds vanilla bean and associated nougat like complexity.
Palate: The palate is supple and very approachable, with a creamy texture and excellent persistence afforded from barrel ferment. Fruit zest acidity, combines with stoney minerality giving the wine a mouth-watering dry finish, urging for more.

Vintage Characteristics: Mild dry vintage.
Vinification: 65% stainless steel, 35% barrel fermentation.
Cellaring Potential: Suggested best 2003 to 2005;
Oak Treatment: 35% barrel fermented in French oak, 10% new and balance one year old.
Serving Suggestion: Enjoy with steamed pork chop with apple onion and sage.
