This wine is all class, exhibiting a great balance of weight, intense fruit, fine tannins and fine grained oak.

TECHNICAL NOTES
Awards: 90 points Ray Jordan`s Guide to Wine 2005/06.
Region: 100% Five Ashes Vineyard, Margaret River.
Colour: Hamelin Bay`s 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon has a bright red centre of medium intensity, with a pale red hue.
Bouquet: Aromas of blackberry and earthy cocoa are complemented by touches of dried sage, oregano and fresh mint in a true expression of what one expects from a Karridale Cabernet Sauvignon.
Palate: The palate is medium to full weight and moderate to long length with excellent tannin structure ensuring a strong future in the cellar.

Vintage Characteristics: Warm mild vintage.
Vinification: 100% stainless steel static fermenters, left on skins for 10 days.
Cellaring Potential: Suggested best 2 to 5 years through to 10 years.
Oak Treatment: 100% matured in French oak, 35% new, 35% one year old for 14 – 16 months.
Serving Suggestion: Enjoy with top quality steak dishes or osso bucco.
