Region: 100% Five Ashes Vineyard, Margaret River.
Colour: Hamelin Bay`s Rampant Red has brilliant clarity with medium to heavy intensity with a ruby red centre and pale red/pink hue.
Bouquet: The nose displays lifted cassis and mint, with underlying leather, chocolate and coffee bean.
Palate: The palate is rich, sweet and luscious with fine emery tannins giving the wine an appealing dry finish.

Vintage Characteristics: Warm dry vintage.
Vinification: Open and static stainless steel fermenters, left on skins for 11 to 36 days post ferment.
Cellaring Potential: Suggested Best 2003 to 2005; Suggested Maximum 2009.
Oak Treatment: 16 months maturation in barriques, with 6% new French oak.
Serving Suggestion: Chicken ravioli and antipasto.
