Product Description

Aromas of luscious red berry fruit, a soft and suculent palate with an elegant structure. 64.6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35.4% Merlot.

Colour: Hamelin Bay`s Cabernet Merlot 2001 has a brilliant clarity of medium intensity, with a ruby red centre and a pale red hue.
Bouquet: The nose displays an attractive mintiness, with a sweet core of red berry fruits.
Palate: The palate is focussed on a vibrant mid palate. Fine grainy tannins afford a tight knit structure ensuring that cellaring will be rewarded.

Vintage Characteristics: Warm dry vintage.
Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel static fermenters and left on skins for 2 to 4 weeks.
Cellaring Potential: Suggested best 3 to 5 years plus.
Oak Treatment: 100% with 50% new French.
